Recognized by the Destination Management industry as its highest educational achievement, Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) is an executive-level program for experienced destination organization professionals seeking advanced professional development. The focus of the program is on strategic vision, leadership, destination organization performance, community stakeholder management as well as marketing and product development best practices.

In partnership with Travel Alberta, Destinations International presents two CDME courses at this session.

Core Course: Destination Leadership

Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9, 2019

Elective Course: Destination Information & Research

Thursday, October 10, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and

Friday, October 11, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

NOTE: The CDME is a credential program. An approved CDME Application is REQUIRED prior to registering for any courses. Please allow 30 days for the application to be processed. For more information, visit the CDME website.

  1. Once your application is approved, log in to your account.
  2. Click on Register Now to proceed.
  3. Select the $0.00 ticket and continue to register yourself.
  4. Scroll through the days on the schedule to select the course you wish to attend. Click Add to include it in your purchase. Please only include the "Day 1" item for each course.
  5. Proceed to check out.

Cancellation Policy

Refund deadline: Friday, September 13, 2019

We request that all registration cancellations and refund requests be made in writing by September 13, 2019. Destinations International will refund the full course payment, less a US$150.00 administrative fee. All cancellations must be in writing.

We regret that no refunds will be granted for requests made after September 13, 2019 without proof of a medical or family emergency.
